Smartboard

What I really liked about the smartboard was that it kept my attention. I was never bored when I was learning on the smartboard. It also helped me remeber more and it helped me a lot on my powerpoint presentations. This year was an awesome year and I learned a lot. I had a ton of fun doing everything with the smatboard and Mrs.Perrey was a great teacher

Drama

Hello I am the expert at making friends with fierce bears. My name is Mr.Brownbear. The reason I have that last name is because my actual last name is Bear, but I always wear brown. That’s why they call me Mr. Brownbear. So last week I was at Banff and I saw a bear digging in the garbage. I have to admit, I was digging through the garbage too. It was very scary at first because he was startled and he freaked on me. Then he settled down and we started talking. Now you may ask how I talk to bears. Well I just use my Bear to English dictionary and English to Bear dictionary. Then it was as easy as finding food in the garbage. I and Mr. Grizzly (the bear I made friends with) are still friends today.

What My Watershed Means To Me

Hello, my name is Jaxon, and I’m about to tell you about my watershed. I live in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Regina is the capital of Saskatchewan. First, I will tell what a watershed is. A watershed is an area of land that catches rain then that rain drains into rivers, lakes, wells, and marsh. Marsh is known as poorly drained land. The watershed I live in is the Upper Quappelle Wascana Watershed. That is where my watershed is.

Now I will tell you where my drinking water comes from. The water we drink comes from lots of different places. It usually starts at lakes, rivers, wells, and streams. One of the lakes we get our drinking water from in Regina is the Buffalo Pound Lake. The water is then cleaned. It is then filtered and comes out of our taps. That is where my water comes from.

Why is water so important to me? I love water for simple reasons. Like how you can’t live without it. You can also freeze it to make water colder or put the ice on injuries to make the swelling go down. Another reason it is important to me is that I can swim in it and you can drink it when it’s hot out. My favorite reason is taking showers and baths to clean myself. That is why water is important to me.

Now I will tell you how I encounter water. One way is when I go wakeboarding. Another way I encounter water is when I wash my dad’s car. My favorite way I encounter it is when I have a water fight. The last way I encounter it is when it rains. That is how I encounter water.

My final point is what other things need water? Of course humans need water, but animals also need water. A very special thing that needs water is plants. Plants need water to grow. We also need water to run our industries and generate power. That is what other things need water. Without a watershed we would have no drinking water and plants would not grow. That is why we need watersheds.

A Crazy Good Christmas

Final Draft

It was the best Christmas ever all because of Christmas Eve. First off, I got to stay home and plays games for a bit. Then, my grandma and grandpa from my dad`s side came over to our house for the Christmas Eve party. After that, my grandma and grandpa from my mom`s side came over with my with my uncle, auntie, and two cousins. I had a great time just hanging out with my cousins and playing video games. We had a great supper with ham, potatoes, and fruit. After that we put on some Christmas carols and continued talking. Then, the biggest surprise happened. My uncle and auntie from Yorkton showed up and said they were staying the night! We had lots of fun at our sleepover, except for my uncles snoring. I can`t wait until next Christmas Eve!
